What about the local “lockdown”?
Our restaurant is open-sided, and therefore (much like an open sided marquee) it is permitted to meet with other households. We will only seat up to 6.
Do I have to wear a mask?
You must wear a mask at our site at all times you are not sat a table.

Can I book a booth just for drinks?
Due to our limited capacity, we only offer our restaurant tables for food. You’re welcome to join us in our Garden Bar for drinks. See our current open times on our homepage.
Do I have to book?
Booking for evenings is essential – we only have a limited number of tables. You don’t have to book for the garden bar or for brunch, although if you’d like to sit in it is advisable.
Can I book by telephone?
We’re only a small team, so we only offer online bookings. You can reach us via our socials and email.
Are you operating table service only?
Yes – we are also using the W8r app for orders in the Garden Bar.
Can I bring my dog?
Well behaved dogs are welcome in our garden bar, provided they are on a leash. We permit dogs into the restaurant provided they remain in the booth (not out the front) and won’t disturb other patrons.
Do you offer a children’s menu?
At present, due to our small kitchen size, we don’t offer a separate menu or portions.
Can you supply a highchair?
We don’t supply highchairs as due to the design of the seating area, they cannot be safely used.
Is it a set menu for the evening service?
We run a limited menu, but it is still à la carte, although we only offer a 3 course sitting. We do this because of our limited capacity.
Do you serve the restaurant menu in the Garden Bar?
No, but we do offer our Brunch menu to the Garden Bar until 4PM – you can order using the W8r app.
Is there wheelchair access to the restaurant?
Regrettably at this point we don’t have ramped access to the restaurant. We’re working to incorporate this safely soon, within the design constraints of the restaurant. The Garden Bar is accessible and we have disabled toilets, although access is on grass.
How do I drive to the restaurant?
Use postcode NE12 6QN, and look for a turning off Northumbrian Way that is signposted as “Pay Less For Storage”. Follow the road (Arrow Close) around and you’ll see us. Unfortunately we don’t have parking provision.
I have an allergy/intolerance
As we run a small kitchen, we don’t offer a wide range of dishes. We try to run as many gluten free, vegetarian & vegan options as we can. Please let us know in your booking notes of any dietary requirements and we will try our best to meet them. It is paramount that you also inform a member of staff upon arrival of your requirements. It is also noted that it is not possible to absolutely guarantee that our food is absent of allergens even on request due to our small kitchen.
What is the maximum number of people to a table?
6 is the absolute maximum per table in both the restaurant and garden, with no exceptions. It is not permitted to join tables together.
What are you doing to stay COVID-Safe?
We are regularly sanitising toilets & tables, all cutlery, dishes. glasses etc are machine washed at very high temperature, with all staff wearing PPE. All toilets and tables in the restaurant have hand sanitiser available.
Are the restaurant seating areas heated?
Each booth features it’s own heater for your comfort, although as the restaurant is outdoors and we are heading into the winter months, it is advised you wear something warm if joining us on a chilly day.
Why can’t I book for x date?
Due to the ever changing restrictions, we only open bookings for a limited time into the future.
How long will you be at your current location? Where will you be next?
Due to the current COVID uncertainty, we don’t have a moving date or a upcoming location.
What’s going to be on your future menu?
We revise our menu to suite each location we’re in; the people, the suppliers, the landscape – we tend not to plan them too much in advance.
